The 30-member team Masters of Life – Ajapüna of the ACCESA Leadership Center has chosen the Foundation Los Hijos del Sol – Súchonni Ka’I and the Wayuu Indigenous Community of Uchitu’u in Cabo de la Vela, La Guajira, as its partners to fulfill its mission to create opportunities that make everyone’s dreams come true, beginning on January 6, 2017.

Ajapüna works double shifts in order to enlist resources for the construction of kiosks or enramadas, as it is known in the region. The enramada is required for meetings, events, and concerts with traditional indigenous leaders and authorities. Similarly, the enramada would allow for the possibility to provide a space for pediatric and medical care and the implementation of state programs in the community. The current goals for Ajapüna are to raise the total funds needed in a timely fashion to build the enramada, finish building the enramada, and deliver raw materials to support local weavers.
